street festivals
For our Festival Workshops, we work with the local Business Improvement Associations. The BIA's at Eglinton West, Wexford, The Junction, Danforth, Lakeshore West support our workshops with space, equipment and advertising.

Currently, we have held workshops at the Taste of Danforth, Taste of Lawrence East, Junction Arts Festival, Brass in the Grass, and Buskerfest. We are always looking for volunteers to participate within our community street festivals.

LUMINATO

At this year's first ever "Luminato Arts and Creativity Festival in Toronto" visual artists and DiscoverAbility mentors Zara Diniz and Jane Motyka joined in the celebration of creative expression by painting on the L'Art Boat from June 1 st to the 10th.

While guests and patrons gathered to get a glimpse of the masterpieces created on the boats that traveled from the Distillery District to the Harborfront center, Wexford Collegiate Institute student Wendy Lei accompanied our mentors.   As the boat took sail for a relaxing ride across the waterfront filled with entertainment and excitement, the artists captured the unique landscape of Toronto's cityscape.   Paintings Cityscape at Sunset and Cityscape at Night created during this event were donated to the Luminato office for display to keep the memory and experience of such a successful event.
